Basic and Mixed Taekwondo
Basic and Mixed Taekwondo is a class for all levels that teaches the basic moves of Taekwondo.
Students learn the art of demonstration kicks through the use of plyometrics which focuses on learning to move from a muscle extension to a contraction in a rapid or “explosive” way, for example with specialized repeated jumping.
After a long week of focus and discipline, our students get a day to play games that keep them active and let them blow off some steam! This class is held every Friday at both locations (230th Street and Broadway and 10th Avenue at 207th Street):
Participation in the Elite Class is for our star students with a minimum of a green belt and by invitation from Master Raj only. Our Elite Team competes across New York State and those that qualify will then participate in the National Championship. In the last 10 years our students have competed in the National
Zumba Fitness is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. While many of the types of dance and music featured in the program are Latin American inspired, classes can also contain everything from jazz to African beats to country to hip-hop and pop.
